Who I am, what I do, and why I do it!

About me

With specialist qualifications and 20 years experience helping autistic people find practical ways to succeed at school and university,  I offer a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself.

I know that no two autistic people are alike - and that's exactly why I love what I do.  My goal is simple: to help you understand your autism and uncover what works best for you, and stand alongside you as you put it into practice.  Together we'll turn overwhelm into clarity and self-doubt into confidence.

My expertise supporting autistic students has been recognised nationally and internationally: on radio, at international conferences and with awards- please look at my Linkedin profile.

I have a current, enhanced DBS certificate.

My Background

I am an experienced educator with a career spanning primary, secondary, further, and higher education. I am a qualified teacher with experience as both a SENCO and Deputy Headteacher. My academic background includes a B.Ed (Hons) with Qualified Teacher Status and an M.Sc. in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, with a focus on autism.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to working with children and young people with additional needs, supporting both their learning and emotional wellbeing. For the past 20 years, I have worked exclusively with autistic people and have gained specialist autism qualifications, I am fully trained in TEACCH and am a National Autistic Society accredited SPELL trainer. I have many years experience of designing and delivering CPD accredited autism training, helping to build understanding and inclusive practice.

Home Education

I have a strong understanding of home education and its value for autistic children and young people. Through home educating my own autistic children from the ages of 9 to 16, I have seen first-hand how flexible, individualised learning can reduce distress, support regulation, and allow autistic learners to thrive.
